Car MechanicBad roads and your car don’t get along. If you drive down roads that are poorly maintained on a regular basis, or simply drive on a road with pot holes, your tires may eventually get out of alignment.

At Highway Tire Auto & Lube, we strongly recommend letting a car mechanic at our shop align your wheels if:

  • Your vehicle pulls to one side when you drive
  • Even when you’re driving straight, your steering wheel is crooked
  • The wear on your tires is uneven
  • Your tires squeal when you pull away from a stop sign or stop light

Keep in mind that in many cases, tire misalignment can be extremely subtle. This is why it’s so important to have a car mechanic at our shop check your car’s alignment and fix it if there’s a problem.

While things out of your control can affect you car’s alignment, there are still things you can do to remedy certain alignment issues on your own. For example, as your car mechanic, we recommend removing heavy items from your trunk. If your trunk is loading down the back end of your trunk, it lowers the height of your car and throws off your alignment. You should also make sure there’s always enough air in your tries and place less strain on your car’s steering and suspension components by driving conservatively.
